TD’s leadership in this area makes us uniquely qualified to assist merchants of all sizes and across all segments.Job DescriptionReporting to the Senior Manager, Business Analytics and Reporting, the Manager, Insights & Analytics will be the principal data analytics consultant for TD Merchant Solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with a data scientist to solve business problems, generate actionable insights and empower partners through developing interactive self-serve dashboards. We are looking for a self-motivated and innovative individual who excels in a fast-paced and high impact analytics & reporting team, with a strong analytical ability to derive business insightsThis is a 14-months short term assignment for maternity leave coverage.

• Work in a consultative role to provide value for internal partners through proactive value-added insights in the form of data models, analysis, visualizations, interpretation and advice
• Develop analytic solutions to support insight generation that align to business priorities, and provide business expertise to place context around analytics discovery
• Represent the business analytics and reporting team in business projects; support development of business cases and campaign plans; and optimize existing business strategy / tactics through analytics
• Lead the development of specialized dashboards, scorecards and reporting packages for TDMS; provide meaningful and insightful commentary/insights to explain business performance and to support strategy discussions
• Partner with a data scientist in the team to solve complex business problems leveraging advance analytics / machine learning techniques
• Manage ongoing relationships with key internal stakeholders in product, sales, customer experience and finance
• Explore new data sources, develop new analytics tools / techniques to elevate insights
• Stay knowledgeable on emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts to the Bank

Job Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in analytics, business analysis, BI or reporting
• Expert proficiency in data mining, analysis and visualization
• Experienced Tableau Desktop user; and SQL + Python programmer
• Engaging storyteller, ability to communicate insights effectively across multiple business partners; technical or non-technical; verbally or written
• Proven analytical skills and ability to generate actionable business insights from a large amount of data
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
• Basic understanding of statistics concepts and machine learning techniques; and ability to choose the best analytical approach to solve business problems
• Business & financial acumen: ability to propose data solutions that align with business needs, justifying recommendations with P&L impact.
• Detail oriented with excellent organization skills and ability to effectively manage work under tight timelines and changing priorities
• Ability to independently perform end-to-end functions/activities with minimal supervision and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
