As a global leader in insurance broking and risk management, Marsh helps clients succeed by defining, designing, and delivering innovative, industry-specific solutions to effectively manage risk.We are looking for a Chief Administrative Officer to join our office in Toronto.What can you expectA member of the Executive Committee the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) partners directly with the President and CEO of Marsh Canada on key projects and initiatives, enabling the effective execution of the firm’s priorities. As CAO, you will support the CEO on the oversight and implementation of strategy, day to day business management and operational agenda, acting on her behalf when needed. The CAO plays a critical role in managing and ensuring the flow of information and facilitating key deliverables, expanding the bandwidth of CEO and allowing her to take on a broader depth of issues and to focus on key and critical clients and marketplace relationships, as the external face of the organization and Marsh McLennan in Canada, driving the success of our business strategy.What is in it for youBe a key contributing member to a high functioning Canadian leadership team.Support execution of Canadian operating agenda and lead strategy for Canada’s key initiatives.In support of the President and CEO, hold the Executive Committee members accountable in driving and executing on the operating agenda – strategize and plan for execution and tack progress of critical initiatives.Partner with Marketing and Corporate Communications to oversee Canadian communications strategy.Manage special projects and provide ad hoc assistance to CEO in executing her role of President and CEO, Marsh Canada.Work in partnership with CAO for US/Canada.We will count on you to:Serve as a general adviser and strategist for the CEO by assessing risks, noting opportunities, setting overall goals and metrics, and proposing projects or systems to move the company forward.Ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the Office of the President & CEO:Manage the progress and execution of select work streams and drive accountability to enhance the productivity of the Marsh Executive CommitteeCollaborate with Communications to create and/or coordinate internal and external CEO communications and contentMaximize the impact of affiliations with key constituencies and stakeholders by creating and managing an outreach and engagement strategyBuild relationships with key internal and external business partners, driving accountability at every stepSupport strategy development and communication:Collaborate with CEO, Finance Director and select business leaders to prepare and coordinate strategic plan presentations and other critical business updatesProvide regular department and business-specific updates to the CEO, advise on trends, opportunities and risks and create action plansPartner with the CEO to prepare for and lead regular executive meetings, operational reviews, strategy sessions and/or offsite meetings, and manage the tracking and delivery of action items and deliverablesExecute selected key initiatives:Proactive review of key strategic and financial projects and initiatives in support of the CEOs agendaProject management work as assigned by the CEOWhat you need to have:10+ years Insurance, Professional Services or Financial Services industry experience5+ years Project Management experience (Six Sigma or PMP Certification preferred)Executive presence, ability to influence and exceptional organizational skillsWhat makes you stand out:Ability to operate in a fast paced environment with resilienceExceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the organizationMarsh is the world’s leading insurance broker and risk adviser.
