Position Type: Full-time flexible contracts (Independent Contractors) based on your availability for schools and section classrooms.Job Region: Toronto, Etobicoke, Newmarket, Aurora, Richmond Hill, Markham, Woodbridge, Maple, Stouffville, KeswickBeyond Support Services (BSS) provides educational support to guide students with special needs from 4-21 years of age attending Catholic or Public Schools, in a variety of educational settings.Responsibilities:To support and guide students with autism and or mental health and behavioural challengesTo assist teachers in implementing specific programs in language, behaviour management and physical managementTo implement structured modified programs to allow students to develop meaningful academic skillsTo provide opportunities for students to foster self-esteem, and promote positive social skills within the school and communityQualifications and Experience:College diploma or university degree in child/youth related programsExperience in working with children/youth with a particular exceptionality and/ or diagnosisSound knowledge of behavioural analysis principlesNon-Violent Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI)Current Vulnerable Police CheckCompensation: Hourly; Independent Contractor
