Represents the Company #39;s interests through written correspondence to WSIB and gathers information regarding objections to claims.Specific Responsibilities: • Reviews accident investigations, ensures all necessary information is present, follow-up with stores to obtain necessary information • Ensures all necessary forms are completed in a timely manner and sent to WSIB • Contacts the worker to set up immediate modified Return to Work programs • Prepares correspondence to WSIB regarding worker #39;s objection to immediate accommodation • Writes letters to WSIB regarding objection or request for Second Injury and Enhancement Fund (SIEF) • Acts as the first point of contact to respond to claims inquiries from all levels including store management, injured workers, HR staff and WSIB staff • Completes WSIB requested employer reports • Maintains contact with WSIB regarding letters of objection • Responsible for submitting all hearing loss claimsQualifications: • College study (2 years) in a relevant field • 1-3 years relevant work experience • General H.R. knowledge, especially Workers Compensation and WSIB legislation • Proficiency with Parklane systems an asset • Must have above average communication skills • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office • Knowledge of SAPRelationships: • Office • Workplace Safety Insurance Board • Metro Employees#LI-Hybrid IND1Metro values, respects and leverages the differences and competences of all employees from a variety of different backgrounds.
