Job Description

OFX is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. This role is currently remote but upon return to the office, OFX will be adopting a hybrid model of working (in-office and remote).Hello. Nice to meet you. We are a publicly-listed company, listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX: ‘OFX’).Purpose of your roleThis customer-focused role sits with OFX Client Due Diligence team as a specialist function assisting OFX global client-handling teams by performing initial KYC assessments and screening for new-to-OFX clients, ensuring smooth transition between online registration and full verification, and by performing ongoing due diligence for existing clients.What you doDue diligence

  • Perform initial client onboarding Due Diligence:
    • Consumer Client types sourced across global OFX jurisdictions (Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, US, Canada, UK, Europe).
    • Corporate Client types initially across the USA, Canada, however, onboard customers from jurisdictions globally in future. Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, Associations, Charities, Government Entities, Co-operatives, Managed Funds, and offshore entities.
  • Act as back-up resource extending coverage to Corporate clients being onboarded in other jurisdictions (APAC, UK/EMEA).
  • Perform Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD), including AML/CTF checks /KYC analysis to ensure OFX fully understands our clients, their needs and payment flows.
  • Perform Client and payment screening /monitoring activities – (Specifically but not limited to - PEP/Sanctions/Fraud alerts). Analyse and clear false positives as well as escalate cases according to set procedures where appropriate.
  • Perform ongoing client due diligence (OCDD) activities, including periodic refreshes of OFX knowledge of its client base and remediation activities if required.
Advice
  • Communicate due diligence expectations to clients/OFX relationship managers and assist with associated queries (phone and email).
Key stakeholders and collaboration
  • Coordinate with Due Diligence teams globally to provide seamless, speedy and compliant service for OFX clients.
  • Coordinate with the relevant regional Compliance Departments for approvals and escalations as well as working with the Fraud and Legal Departments and other internal teams for escalations /approvals as required.
  • Actively collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and delivery of OFX strategic, business and operational plans.
  • Act as an ambassador for and always promote the best interests of OFX, including the promotion of OFX company values.
What you bring
  • 1+ Years’ experience in Client Due Diligence (CDD), ECDD for both individual and corporate clients, fulfilling AML/CTF requirements in a similar role.
  • Experience with fraud as an asset
  • Sound knowledge of relevant AML/CTF regulations in US and Canada
  • Risk-focused mentality – people, company & customer.
  • Able to handle a high volume of work and multi-task, maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Ability to build and sustain effective relationships across varied levels locally, regionally and globally.
