The successful candidate will provide excellent client service to drive revenue retention and will be responsible for managing all service components for the client, including insurance placement, and expanded coverage development. We will count on you to:
  • Be a professional individual contributor in Account Management who works independently with minimal supervision and use your substantial experience to evaluate risk, work to retain and generate new business including engagement with more senior colleagues to execute on the growth strategy.
  • Be viewed as a trusted business advisor by clients through effective dialogues that nurture the client relationship, demonstrate practice expertise and ability to tap into the breadth and depth of Marsh’s zonal, national and global resources.
  • Responsible for the growth, profitability and client satisfaction of a book of business containing complex priority accounts; responsible for managing all service components for the client, including insurance placement, and expanded coverage development.
  • Develops the sales strategy for managed accounts leveraging an in-depth understanding of client needs, market trends and internal product or service offerings;
  • Review client/prospect exposure loss experience and current coverage, and analyze the risk to determine the product/service requirements.
  • Negotiate complex insurance programs with underwriters when required;
  • Create and present renewal proposals to existing clients;
  • Implement and maintain a quality service plan, including ensuring the accuracy of binders, policies, and other relevant documents;
  • Manage timely billing/collection for each client;
  • Work to ensure all managed accounts are in good standing and address escalated issues or concerns in a timely and effective manner in order to ensure operational excellence and relationship satisfaction;
  • Participate in professional development activities/courses.
What you need to have:
  • Possess a minimum of 3+ years of experience in commercial insurance and risk management. Multinational experience is an asset.
  • RIBO License required and the ability to obtain non-resident broker licenses in other provinces/territories within three months of hire.
