The Cloud Security Consultant (Microsoft) is a member of the Professional Services Team, with a focus on security functionality of Public Cloud Services, specifically the Microsoft Cloud stack. The role will participate in the full project lifecycle by leading kickoff calls, completing security reviews, working with clients to translate objectives and policy to technical implementation, designing and implementing solutions, drafting final deliverables, and conducting project closeout/debrief calls. As a senior team member, you will be our clients’ technical expert and drive the growth of the division through exemplary performance. The Cloud Security Consultant should continuously improve service offerings by staying abreast of industry trends and participating in ongoing training.The Cloud Security Consultant (Microsoft) reports directly to the Professional Services Practice Lead.DutiesLead the end-to-end service delivery for client engagements. Services include, but are not limited to, incident response and remediation, environment reviews, design and implementation of solutions for the Microsoft Cloud stack (Microsoft 365 Services and Azure).Adhere to project schedules and work with the Operations Manager – Advisory and Professional Services to manage delays and project change requests.Primary author on final deliverables.Participate in annual training to continually improve knowledge and understanding of offensive security discipline.Research and stay up to date on industry trends/tools, attack vectors, and system exploitations/vulnerabilities.Work with the Professional Service Practice Lead and the Operations Manager – Advisory and Professional Services to ensure that service offerings and testing methodology align with industry standard.Mentor and/or provide support to professional services team members.Provide customer feedback and suggestions for improvement to Head of Offensive Security.Other responsibilities as required.Qualifications and CapabilitiesExperience with design, implementation and/or operation of at least two of the following:Microsoft 365, including but not limited to: Office 365 Security and Compliance, Intune, Microsoft Information Protection, Cloud App Security, Azure Active Directory securityMicrosoft Defender for Endpoint (f.k.a. Defender Advanced Threat Protection)Microsoft Azure: Azure Policy, Azure Security Centre/Azure Defender, Azure RBAC, Azure Sentinel, Azure Architecture and DesignExperience with other Cloud Security platforms (CASB solutions, Identity Providers/Aggregators) is an asset but not a requirementExperience with other Cloud platforms, SaaS, PaaS and IaaS (GSuite, AWS, GCP et al.) is an asset, but not a requirementPrior experience in a client facing consulting roleVendor certifications are an assetKnowledge of various operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows, Mac OS)Knowledge of scripting and automation (PowerShell, ARM, Terraform, Python etc.)Previous development experience is an asset
