Job Description

Are you an Accounting Professional If you are experienced in Accounting, then you may be the person our team needs! KORE creates value for customers in the explosive IoT market, and is the largest independent IoT connectivity management provider today.The Collections Specialist will be reporting to the Manager, Credit and Collections, and will be assisting with all aspects of Collections and the related support functions including but not limited to cash collections, resolution on aged receivables delinquency, and timely dispute escalation and resolution. The key mandate of this role is to drive success in achieving and exceeding key cash collection metrics – collection targets and DSO and supporting continuous improvement measures and tools that improve collections effectiveness.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Achieve set quarterly cash collection targets while maintaining bad debt expense, AFDA and write offs within predefined limits/ targets set.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of our collections tools that will reduce the administrative level of tasks for collections
  • For your accounts, provide excellent customer service for external or internal customers, including Operations, Finance and other relevant management stakeholders in the communication and reporting of relevant transactional level data
  • Ensure timely review of aging reports and proactively identify issues to determine resolutions; escalate in a timely manner for support if collections is stalled.
  • Work with Manager for daily/weekly/monthly AR Reconciliation to ensure an accurate month-end close.
  • Be able to provide decisions/solutions to issues, routine and timely recommendations for non-routine to get approval from Manager or Director.
  • Complete other assignments as required to support the AR mandate.
Skills, Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years commercial collections experience with high volumes, preferably in a public, fast paced global business environment; understanding of telecom collections is an asset
  • Enrolled in or completed the CCP
  • Strong ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal competencies
  • Firm understanding of financial accounting principles with a proven ability to interpret and analyze company financial statements and draw conclusions as to credit worthiness.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • NetSuite experience is an asset
  • Strong MS Excel and Word skills is required
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision on routine collections
