Job Description

You #39;ll help us identify and source the best instructors, develop learning and performance improvement solutions across traditional and virtual classroom environments, and consult with other areas of the Firm to ensure our curriculums and initiatives support the PwC strategy.nnAs part of our Learning and Development Leadership team, you #39;ll help leaders design, develop and deliver formal and informal learning solutions to market specific PwC professionals. You #39;ll understand the business strategies, priorities, and budgets that drive the business line and uncover surface learning and performance improvement needs, develop strategies to improve them, and deliver effective and engaging learning programmes.What to consider before applying• This is a remote position, requiring the ability to work virtually. #LI-Remote Purpose-led work you #39;ll be part ofAs a Learning and Development, Senior Manager , you #39;ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Play an active role in shaping and executing PwC Canada #39;s Assurance development strategy • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including senior members of the firm (i.e. Assurance Riskamp; Quality, Accounting Consulting Services, Business Transformation, etc.) and internal firm services • Identify learning needs and develop appropriate learning strategies incorporating education and experiential solutions by consulting with Subject Matter Experts (SME) or outside suppliers (if required) • Consult and build commitment around recommended learning solutions aligned to business needs • Develop and execute implementation plans, including writing communications, managing the translation process, and overseeing the program set up, scheduling, compliance and remediation processes for assigned programs/curriculums • Manage large and complex strategic/technical projects (e.g. national conferences, digital/tools training, audit quality/methodology training, etc.), including those targeted to senior level audiences, where applicable • Work with SMEs to develop program content/project strategy using appropriate instructional design in consultation with SMEs • Serve as role model for identifying opportunities and contributing to aquot;one firm quot; approach, leading to continuous collaboration within Learning and Development and other areas of HC • Oversee and/or organize/deliver instructor briefings, instructor skills training and train-the-trainer events • Ensure that critical success factors and overall risks are identified and proactively managed (i.e. appropriate training needs analysis performed; learning objectives developed; design and delivery platform used; SMEs, resources and instructors identified; target audience identified/assigned training; etc.) • Provide quot;on-site quot; leadership of programs, as required • Evaluate the effectiveness of the programs and projects, including overall business impact, and make recommendations for future offerings/next steps in consultation with SMEs and other key stakeholders • Support compliance activities • Oversee and account for large project budgets and provide support in managing the overall L amp;D budget, as required • Coach, manage, develop others (L amp;D managers, Assurance secondees, L amp;D Digital and Operations team members, shared services staff, etc.) • Contribute to workflow and staffing discussions and participate in recruiting efforts • Leverage the PwC Global network to share ideas, best practices and content, as appropriate • Represent L amp;D in various committees, meetings and workstreams, including leadership meetings Experiences and skills you #39;ll use to solve•CPA, CA designation• Prior experience developing and delivering audit/accounting training programs • Proven track record of leading and implementing teams for significant learning initiatives • Deep knowledge of adult learning theory; learning needs and performance gap analysis; instructional design, development and implementation; and assessment/evaluation of learning • A strong understanding of the strategy and priorities of the business and how they translate into L amp;D priorities • A strong understanding of change management issues • Strong consulting skills - specifically, conveys a senior presence and has the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and maintain collaborative relationships with staff at all levels, including leadership • A passion for client service and L amp;D #39;s role for driving business results and a distinctive client experience • Ability to exercise judgment in a highly complex environment and ensure appropriate involvement of stakeholders, including leadership • Ability to use logic, creativity and innovation when developing solutions to problems, taking into account any potential client impact • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and work towards tight deadlines, including last minute changes, and alignment of resources to ensure priorities are met Why you #39;ll love PwCWe #39;re inspiring and empowering our people to change the world.
