As Cook - Team Lead, you will supervise the cook team in collaboration with the Chef and Sous-Chef and take part of operational kitchen duties on a daily basis.WHAT WE OFFER :Group insurances paid 50% by the employerAccess to the hotel gym according to occupancyPromotional rate to discover Germain Hôtels properties through CanadaOpportunities to develop your career within a growing company across CanadaYOUR RESPONSABILITIES :Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Chef and Sous-ChefParticipate to administrative duties (schedule, inventory, recruitment and training)Cook and prepare the necessary food items as directed and in accordance with standards in a timely and efficient fashion to ensure that there is no interruption to guest serviceAdhere to standardized recipes and specifications in order to maintain consistency and ensure all standards are metKeep work station clean and organized including fridges/freezers, counter tops and stove topsHave full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotionsOperate all kitchen equipment and conduct themselves with safety in mind at all timesEnsure that all food products are handled, stored, prepared and served safely in accordance with hotel and government Food Safety guidelinesReport any and all deficiencies in kitchen equipment functionality and quality of food productsComply with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environmentAdhere to all environmental policies and programs as requiredWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:Experience in full service restaurantFood handlers certificateExperience in areas of hotel kitchen operations is an assetPrevious experience as a team lead will be an assetAble to lift/carry/push supplies or equipment weighing up to 50 lbsAble to stand for up to 5 hours at a timeGroup Germain Hotels is a family run business originally from Québec that builds and operates Le Germain Hotels and Alt Hotels across the country.
