Job Description

Company DescriptionAs the exclusive service provider to the Toronto Region Board of Trade, Oliver & Bonacini brings unparalleled cuisine, service and style. This modern, spacious facility features over 30,000 square feet of beautifully renovated meeting and event venues in First Canadian Place, including several state-of-the-art boardrooms as well as the grand Lennox Hall, a bright and beautiful ballroom.With a chef-driven kitchen, a top-notch service team and dedicated on-site event coordinators, we’re able to host a full range of business and social events, from small work session to large-scale celebrations.Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Corporate Chef and the Associate Director, the Culinary & Events Administrative Assistant organizes and keeps all event calendars up to date, ensuring all administrative duties are executed in the most timely and efficient manner possible. This role will be directed by daily business needs, and will require a team member who has excellent communication skills and is fanatical about detail when providing customer service and completing general administrative duties.

  • Maintains and updates all cover pages outlining event details and sales forecasting for every event at 8 of Oliver & Bonacini venues
  • Attends weekly scoop meetings
  • Inputs schedules into payroll system
  • Updates event calendars for all event spaces
  • Supporting office catering program from First Canadian Place
  • General administration assistance: printing, sending reports, maintaining emails & voicemails
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • Post Secondary Degree/Diploma in hospitality or events or 2 years minimum work experience
  • Prior administrative experience and exposure to marketing and sales an asset
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment with self-motivation and independent work ethic
  • Outstanding communication skills, with a hospitality-first approach to all internal and external communications
  • IT/Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional time-management and organizational skills with tremendous attention to details
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum; excellent time management to prioritize tasks properly
  • Professional and mature demeanour
