Job Description

One of our government clients is looking for a Customer Service Officer (Bilingual - French/ English) Length: 12 months contract, with high possibility extensions Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid (2 days in office) Working hours: Mon - Fri, 8:30 am - 5 pm DESCRIPTION: We are responsible for a range of assessment initiatives, including the design, administration, scoring and reporting of comprehensive province-wide assessments. The agency also makes recommendations to the public and the Minister of Education on the quality, effectiveness, and improvement of elementary and secondary education in Ontario. PURPOSE OF POSITION To provide timely, accurate responses in a professional manner to inquiries about our programs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY The primary duties and related experience for the Public Inquiries Officer (Bilingual) role include the following: - Advanced written and Advanced Plus verbal French language proficiency skills; - Knowledge of client service principles and call centre telephone systems experience; - Reasoning and problem-solving skills to analyze customer needs, research information and - determine which resources are appropriate to advise on EQAO programs and processes; - Excellent listening and interviewing skills to clarify inquiries, identify concerns and needs, and - interpret questions and address concerns; - Communications skills to explain detailed matters in a clear and concise manner (both verbal and - written); - Knowledge of and experience with personal computing software (e.g. word processing, database, - spreadsheet applications and internet resources), call logging and tracking software, and customer - relationship management programs URGENT: Please read the job description above.
