The mission will be to develop and maintain data analytics tools using Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft SQL Server and other data management tools.Most of the Things You’ll Work On:

  • Assist in designing and developing data analytics solutions using Microsoft Power BI
  • Creating analytics models which consume data from different sources like relational SQL databases, Sharepoint, and other Microsoft tools
  • Manage system and data tool security based on industry best practices
  • Participate in reviews and enhancements of analytics tools developed by peers [QA / QC]
  • Assist in the process of improving data analytics models with adherence to best practices related with performance and reliability
  • Properly document functionality and technical specifications of the analytics products under their scope
  • Capable of delivering full life cycle development of analytics tools, including identifying user requirements, processing and preparing the data by connecting to various data sources, building reports or dashboards to address the user requirements, testing and deployment, maintenance, user support etc
  • Participate in and contribute to the design and development of best practices for data analytics models
  • Research new products and technologies to enhance the process of development, testing and deployment of data analytics models
  • Understands the interactions and dependencies among data and process components
  • Communicates with various stakeholders to understand their requirements, share the results and findings
  • Works collaboratively with Manager and team to forward plan workload
  • Maintains awareness of multiple asks / competing priorities and proactively requests input from others (specifically immediate team / manager) to speed up or slow down various Epics within workload
QualificationsYoull Need To Have:
  • 1 to 3 years of experience using Microsoft Power BI building dashboards and visualizations
  • Strong knowledge of data warehouse concepts and architecture
  • Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills; able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders and with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables & Power Pivot. (Experience in macros and VBA is an asset)
  • Previous working experience with data from an ERP application is highly preferred
Additional InformationWe are currently in a work from home model during COVID-19, but when we do return to the office were located at 55 St. Clair Ave West, this office is steps away from St. Clair station and is easily accessible by bike, TTC and car. Occupying 7 floors, with over 700 employees, it is the largest office at IBI Group.
