Job Description

Software International (SI) supplies technical talent to a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 100/500/1000 companies to small and mid-sized organizations in Canada/US. One of our Fortune 100 ICT clients is expanding their DCN team by adding a fulltime researcher to help work on next generation DCN tech.Role: Data Center Network ResearcherType: FulltimeSalary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 as base salary + bonus + benefitsLocation: Toronto or Waterloo, ONOur client is a global ICT leading Fortune 100 company that developers and sells a wide range of products and solutions to gobal companies and consumers.This is your opportunity to work on leading edge DCN technology research to help launch next generation tech that will impact the world.Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in the data center networks, focusing on the network optimization on the large-scale AI cluster and cloud computing networks.
  • Design protocols and algorithms in the transport layer to improve the end-to-end performance for the computing, cloud and storage applications and Build simulation and/or hardware prototype to verify the design.
  • Collaborate with the HQ experts and Corresponding product lines to promote the implementation of our design into commercial products.
  • Follow the latest progress in both industry and academia. Attend various meetings and write technical insight reports.
Job requirements What youll bring to the team:
  • Ph.D. or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, with research and development experience in designing and developing data center networks, distributed systems, or computer architecture.
  • Understanding of the data center networks, distributed systems, compute architecture, AI, cloud computing or related technical directions. Familiar with one or two sub-domains above.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python or P4 programming.
  • Proficient in communication protocol stacks and transport algorithms.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to engage effectively both internally and externally.
