Learn more at shn.caFOR EXTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY: As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status to the Hospital’s Workplace Health and Safety department.Position Overview:A newly formed Regional Operations Team will provide operational support following the regional Epic go-live in December 2021, to the seven (7) acute hospitals in the Central East (CE) region: Campbellford Memorial Hospital, Haliburton Highland Health Services, Lakeridge Health, Northumberland Hills Hospital, Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Ross Memorial Hospital and Scarborough Health Network. These organizations have been on a clinical transformation journey to implement a shared, regional Epic CIS solution as well as a number of regional third-party applications since July 2019.The CE Regional Operations Team will have a dedicated leadership team overseeing five (5) work streams: Outpatient Ancillary, Inpatient, Access/Revenue & Reporting, 3rd Party & Integration and Technical. Each team will have a number of clinical and technical analysts, and Principal Trainers (PTs). The Regional Operations team will work on behalf of all 7 hospital organizations. Scarborough Health Network (SHN) will manage employee policies and act as paymaster on behalf of all 7 hospital organizations.The Data Courier and Environmental Release administrator is responsible for the change oversight and control processes for the Epic application lifecycle. They are responsible for the successful implementation of application upgrades and coordinate activities between different teams.Company Vacancy/Request for Transfer:The completion of this online form serves as your application and will be used to determine if you meet the requirements of this position.   • Managing the cycle of Epic environment updates, upgrades, and version releases.
  • Coordinate maintenance windows ensuring tasks are completed and synchronized through various teams
  • Providing project management and project analyst support for major Epic releases
  • Leading Change Advisory Boards for change control review and approval process
  • Working through data migration items and provide escalation support.
  • Identifying issues that arise as well as issues that impact other application teams, and working to resolve them
  • Serving as a liaison between end users workflow needs and Epic implementation staff
  • Developing an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organizations workflows by attending site visits and other integrated sessions
  • Participating in training and working with end users
  • Troubleshooting problems and questions
  • Ensure access requests align with standard processes controls and approval levels.
  • Assisting with user support and troubleshooting access issues.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with Epic® (Preferred)
  • Diploma or degree in computer related field (Required)
  • Project manage skills and experience (Required)
  • Strong working knowledge of clinical systems and administrative departments, operations and core clinical/process workflows would be an asset
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills, able to logically examine a problem and determine the route cause and course of action
  • Take ownership over own work and have initiative to recognize tasks that need to be completed
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely with project leadership and stakeholders
  • The ability to work collaboratively and effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • The ability and willingness to learn new software, systems and processes
  • Highly reliable, able to persevere in difficult situations, overcome obstacles and work under time pressures
  • Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues and volunteers and other members of the community and public with integrity, empathy and professionalism
  • Demonstrates values consistent with SHNs Code of Conduct and is committed to fostering a healthy and positive work environment in accordance with Health & Safety policy and legislation.
