Job Description

Accurate data entry is essential for the efficient operation of Perioperative Services Information Systems. The Data Entry Clerk position requires proficiency in a variety of data entry software, including CPM, WTIS and SET, as well as working knowledge of MS Office.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Entering all perioperative related data into computer systems such as the CPM, WTIS, ORBC Benchmarking and/or populating spreadsheets/database.
  • Clarifying unusual data before entry to ensure data correctness.
  • Identifying data discrepancies appearing in the routine and making appropriate changes to resolve them.
  • Scheduling, canceling and moving appointments in the CPM system when there is a shortage of scheduling staff.
  • Assisting the WTIS Coordinator and Database Analyst in entering information.
  • Performing general office and data entry duties when required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with Centricity Perioperative Manager (CPM), or similar software, is essential.
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of sophisticated software and hardware tools that allow for the control, monitoring, reporting and analysis of software application performance.
  • Medical terminology and experience in a health care setting an asset.
  • High school diploma and completion of relevant computer courses required.
  • Excellent keyboarding with a demonstrated attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team and be able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must have an excellent attendance record.
