Job Description

LCBONombre de postes à pourvoir :1Pay$64,103.00 - $111,970.00Description du poste :Are you a Database Administrator looking to join a collaborative and supportive team that strives for operational excellence Reporting to the Manager, Database Administration, you will be responsible for the general administration, maintenance, and support of all relational and non-relational databases across the organization. In addition to maintaining existing environments, you will play a key role in new implementations providing strategic and experienced input.About the Role

  • Maintain multiple Production and non-Production environments ranging in database technologies
  • Responsible for ensuring databases are up to date via routine patching, upgrades and feature/fix packs
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams, including vendors to provide operational support
  • Responsible for database performance monitoring and tuning
  • Create documentation for standard operating procedures as well as logical and physical diagrams
  • Responsible for database backup, restore and recovery processes
  • Provide strategic input and recommendations for new database implementations
  • Implement standards and procedures relating to the storage and usage of database structures
  • Ensure database licenses are in compliance
  • Accountable for database security
  • Participate in rotational 24x7 on-call support
About You
  • Computer Science Diploma/University degree or equivalent business experience and education
  • 5 years of experience in a Database Administrator or Related Role
  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational database management systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Experience with Oracle, SQL Server and DB2 databases
  • Experience with open-source databases (ex. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB)
  • Experience working with multiple operating systems (Linux, UNIX, AIX, Windows)
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (ex. MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra)
  • Experience with public and private cloud technologies
  • Excellent Service Management skills in the areas of Incident, Change and Problem Management
  • Effective resource management of multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of emerging technologies, trends, and platforms
  • Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Quality Assurance (QA) requirements
  • Experience with enterprise deployment strategies (load balancing and high availability implementations)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to senior leaders and business partners
