This is a full-time permanent position. We have implemented our hybrid work model and this role resides at our Halifax office.The successful candidate will be responsible to act as a liaison between Toyota Financial Services and Toyota, Lexus and Subaru dealers, developing and building strong relationships within their territory. This individual will leverage the strong relationships, critical thinking, and influencing skills to promote our financial products to increase contract volumes. This will be accomplished by providing training and support regarding retail and lease programs and F&I products. As necessary, support will be provided for wholesale finance and commercial lending products.What You’ll Be Doing:

  • A primary focus to promote additional volume with existing dealer accounts by reviewing current business and developing action plans for increasing originations volume through a sales consultative approach.
  • Prepare and conduct effective training and sales meetings to increase retail, lease and F&I product volumes.
  • Actively promote and maintain TFS wholesale inventory financing program through strong relationship building with our dealers, presenting the TFS value story and supporting Dealer Credit with inquiries.
  • Promote TFS wholesale inventory financing and other financial products to acquire new accounts.
  • Understand and explain F&I sales techniques including handling objections, product features and benefits, step selling, menu-based selling.
  • Assist head office operations in resolving dealer related items.
  • Support and train dealers on customer inquiries, submitting claims and leveraging F&I products to enable strong customer retention.
What You’ll Bring:
  • University degree in a business-related field.
  • 5-10 years of sales experience in financial services with a focus on promoting products and services is required.
  • Automotive financing experience is preferred.
  • Proven record of increasing overall sales through a consultative, results-oriented approach.
  • Basic knowledge of wholesale financing plans is beneficial.
  • Superior relationship building and communication skills.
  • Proactive and innovative with a strong sense of ownership and perseverance to overcome challenges.
  • Ability to influence change by using critical thinking to problem-solve and present overall TFS value proposition.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with a team-oriented approach, customer centric focus and strong self-organization.
  • Experience in delivering effective training sessions in promoting overall growth of TFS products.
  • Superior software skills including Excel, Power Point, Word.
  • Flexibility for extended overnight and local travel required – a minimum of 50% of weekly responsibilities will be spent visiting and training at dealerships.
