What is the opportunityAs the Development Manager for the Advisor Enablement squad, you will lead and manage technical deliveries, projects or system changes to ensure strategic goals or objectives are accomplished within approved time frames, scope and budget. You will be responsible for providing direction to the team, and partnering with stakeholders across the organization to deliver new capabilities to our business partners. You will also be responsible for application custodianship as well as maintenance and support for applications under the Advisor Enablement Platform.What will you doimplementation on new projects or programsManage and provide engineering guidance to a development team; mentor resources in determining risk based provisionsResponsible for the integration of technology solutions and establishing processes that are aligned to RBC standardsSeek out industry trends and organization knowledge to understand alternative approaches / solutionsPromote innovative or improve methods to get the work done and implement best practicesDrive the adoption of DevOps automation tools, continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) and agile practicesCollaborate with Application Manager on the management of application environments or changesPlan work, resources and lead all development, maintenance and support activities for assigned projects to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished within approved time frames, scope and budgetWhat do you need to succeedMust-haveComputer Science or Engineering degree or related technical field/equivalent trainingStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a sense of ownership and driveDemonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in large cross-functional teamsStrong understanding and hands on technical experience with the following technologies: Mainframe, Web-based and distributed systems design, Unix/Linux; Windows Servers, SQL DB, .NET, Java or other object-oriented programming languageSolid experience with a variety of modern technologies/approaches including cloud-based deployments, API development and DevOps automation (UrbanCodeDeploy, GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible), ELK StackStrong experience with Cloud native development.3+ years of experience technical leadership and over 10 years of hands on technical or development experienceAgile project delivery experienceNice-to-haveDelivery on Salesforce implementaionsIBM MQ , WAS , IBM Integration Bus (IIB)What’s in it for youWe thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
