This role will create relevant content for BII+E’s target audience and clients, ensuring a high level of engagement and reach across all of the Brookfield Institute’s social media platforms, newsletter and website. Additionally, they will implement innovative approaches in the planning, scheduling and executing of all aspects of content creation, using various software and online tools, analyzing the performance of all content and identifying opportunities for improvement.QualificationsTo help us learn more about you, please provide a cover letter and resume describing how you meet the following required qualifications:

  • Completion of a post-secondary diploma program in Communication, Marketing, Journalism, English, or in a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required in the following areas:
    • Project coordination and administration to ensure timely delivery of quality work from vendors and stakeholders.
    • Editorial writing, digital graphic design, video and/or social media content creation and public relations.
    • Writing, producing and designing web content including the migration of content between content management systems.
    • Creating and designing digital and print campaigns
    • Maintaining standards of graphic design and production values for print-based projects and coordinating transfer of existing designs to website.
    • Integrating approved brand elements consistently across an organization.
    • Applying technical skills in a professional setting in graphic design, digital content production and/or advertising to create audio, video, gifs, animation, motion graphics, infographics; user experience and user design.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Intermediate knowledge and the strategic use of all social media platforms.
  • Ability to work to a high standard with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the theory and application of web and graphic design including layout and composition, as related to web, print material, visual communication, typography, computer software applications, photography, video and motion graphics.
  • Excellent command of the tools, technologies, applications is required for effective design and to analyze and maximize output
  • Understanding and integrating approved brand elements to ensure that the creative content of all projects reinforce the Institute’s brand guidelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with stakeholders.
  • Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Good judgment and solid presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of information architecture and user experience.
  • High level of initiative, resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.
  • High degree of creativity and thinking “outside the box” for new, innovative and fresh ideas.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible environment.
