Successful candidates will be focused on project and program delivery for clients across Canada. Successful candidates will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of projects, working with design and production teams located in multiple offices across our region. The successful candidate will thrive in a team environment, interact with teams in multiple offices, assist project/design managers, manage BIM applications as well as being responsible for drawing production and BIM deliverables.Responsibilities:Digital Delivery

  • Work closely with the Regional Technology Lead and BIM managers to help coordinate BIM collaboration and project delivery.
  • Be responsible for project BIM organization, drawing production, and BIM-CADD standard enforcement on a variety of assignments.
  • Work closely with BIM managers and BIM Designers to help deliver quality project deliverables.
  • Provide Projectwise and BIM360 Common Data Environment (CDE) configuration and management.
  • Provide oversight and coordination regarding BIM software, modeling technique, digital workflows and procedures.
  • Coordinating project BIM-CAD delivery within the Engineering Technical Execution Plan guidance.
  • Other duties as required.
Model Management
  • Organize and manage project BIM-CAD files in the associated CDE.
  • Define workflows and develop work instructions for project team direction.
  • Develop project specific BIM-CAD template files and discipline BIM content and configurations.
  • Assist discipline BIM leads with software configuration, content creation and data management.
  • Implement Client standards and project workflows to accommodate Client specific BIM-CAD and Data deliverables.
  • Develop and manage the federated project model for design, clash and quality review.
  • Host design coordination sessions with design management and discipline leads. Perform interference checking, O&M review, and model quality control.
  • Other duties as required.
Drawing Management
  • Prepare drawing packages for QA-QC reviews and Client submissions.
  • Develop cross discipline general drawings, general legends, submission index and cover sheets.
  • Develop project specific drawing borders for associated software.
  • Manage Title block and Revision data integrations with in the CDE.
  • Document control for all design stage deliverables and archives.
  • Provide drawing/modeling progress updates and quality audits.
  • Other duties as required.
Digital Solutions
  • Work with the Digital Delivery team to implement and expand on our suite of project lifecycle digital solutions.
  • Utilize virtual and augmented reality solutions for design and client review.
  • Manage the collection, formatting, and project distribution of Point Cloud data.
  • Coordinate model properties for 4D schedule integration and construction sequencing.
  • Coordinate model properties for 5D quantity take off and cost estimating.
  • Planning and development of BIM integrated asset data and documentation collection.
  • Develop project specific review and approval automations within the CDE.
  • Planning and management of record models for project lifecycle and client information handover.
  • Other duties as required.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • Post-secondary education in Architectural/Structural/Mechanical/Civil/Construction Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Being and active member of OACETT /CAN-BIM or eligible to become a member is an asset.
  • 4-8 years’ experience in delivering facility designs within a BIM digital environment.
  • Ability to establish close working relationship with project delivery teams, illustrating knowledge of BIM processes as they pertain to collaboration, coordination, and digital delivery.
  • High level of organizational skills with a good attitude, strong leadership skills and excellent time management skills.
  • Able to work in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn new software, products, concepts, techniques and help develop new practices and standards.
  • Strong technical skills related to BIM and CADD standards, and automation.
  • Ability to prepare electronic drawing files within project standards, using 3D modeling, sketches, layouts, project instructions and notes.
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of CAD drafting and BIM practices (NCS, AIA, CSI, NIBS, ISO19650)
  • Working knowledge in Autodesk REVIT, discipline specific configurations, templates, and family content creation is required.
  • Working knowledge with Bentley OpenBuildings, OpenPlant and OpenRoads Designer would be an asset.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microstation is required.
  • Experience managing a project Common Data Environment; Bentley Projectwise and Autodesk BIM360.
  • Experience working with multi-discipline teams.
  • Experience with Autodesk Navisworks is required, exposure to Bentley iTwin would be an asset.
  • Experience with Bluebeam and Bluebeam Studio is an asset.
  • Able to set priorities and manage change to meet business needs and project schedules, while managing multiple BIM projects concurrently.
  • Excellent verbal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail is a must.
  • Working knowledge of Windows O/S and Microsoft Office is required.
