There are plenty of challenges to champion.RequirementsRoleThe Director of Dataamp; Revenue Optimization is a senior-level position responsible for leading the company #39;s data, analytics and revenue optimization efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytics, data engineering, AI/ ML, and data science, as well as experience in managing and leading business or technology teams. The Director will be responsible for developing and executing the company #39;s data strategy, as well as driving data platform architecture and design. The Director will also be responsible for leading the development and implementation of infrastructure that advances the strategy for AI/ML across the enterprise.Desirable BackgroundAn experienced leader with a proven track record in delivering AI / ML projects at enterprise scale and expertise in data preparation techniques, building machine learning (ML) models and related ML algorithms, and integrating 3rd party AI/ML solutions. A thought leader and visionary with a bias toward action and pragmatic solutioning. An effective collaborator with executives, as well as business and engineering teams.Key Responsibilities

• Develop and drive an AI/ML roadmap based on business goals, leadership direction, and collaboration with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams
• Drive data platform architecture, design, and technology selection or development to support best-in-class AI-powered functionality within the product
• Serve as an effective and discerning decision-maker on whether to build or buy solutions, considering business value, time-to-market, and operational efficiency while ensuring choices align with organizational goals and priorities
• Build and effectively communicate data stories to executives and key stakeholders via presentations, written summaries, and data visualizations
• Establish and enforce data quality standards and governance policies to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry best practices and expectations
• Be a thought leader on the application of AI/ML across TripStack and develop and deploy solutions to either improve efficiency or product performance
• Lead, recruit, mentor and manage a global team (5-10 people) of data analysts, data engineers and data scientists focused on creating and executing on a strategic roadmap

Key Requirements

• Education: BA/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, with a focus on AI/ML, Big Data, and Analytics.
• Technical Expertise: Diverse experience in AI model development, software engineering, and supporting complex production systems.
• Data Proficiency: Expertise in data modeling and exploration, including large-scale data mining and feature engineering.
• Leadershipamp; Vision: Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams while providing vision and strategic direction.
• Industry Knowledge: Thought leadership and a keen understanding of industry trends and best practices in the AI/ML space.
• Operational Excellence: Proven ability to achieve individual, team, and organizational objectives, driving operational excellence.
• Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical mindset with a focus on challenging the status quo and continuous improvement.
• Communication Skills: Ability to translate complex problems into clear, non-technical terms.
• Software Engineering Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Golang, SQL, R, Python, etc. Experience with systems like Kafka, Red Panda, and GCP.
• Business Intelligence: Over 10 years of experience, emphasizing Business Intelligence, Data Modeling, ETL, and Analytics, working with BI systems like Looker.
