This team manages market data supplier relationships and has accountability for providing data (and information systems) for firm-wide consumers while managing the associated costs through invoicing and license administration.As a key member of a dynamic, fast paced team, you bring business acumen, a strong work ethic and a collaborative style.You are recognized as an astute business advisor and a thoughtful partner who not only understands data solutions available in today’s marketplace but also the needs of our demanding user community.Leadership and relationshipsRecruits, manages, and develops a team of market data professionals aligned with overall goals of the Group and CPP InvestmentsCultivates and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization, including executivesSkillfully influences business partners, coaches peers and develops systems/processes for departmental and business partner use that support sustained changeTakes on an ownership mentality around the functionSupplier, contract, and cost managementAccountable for managing and nurturing supplier relationships, including ongoing governance and performance management.Accountable for evaluation and negotiation of large (and often complex) contracts on behalf of multiple business units, ensuring optimal value-for-money.Accountable for end-to-end contact management process, including working with legal, enterprise procurement, compliance, and other stakeholders to ensure contracts are managed to CPP Investments’ policies and standards.Proactively identifies cost savings opportunities through contract reviews, product substitution and firm-wide consolidation efforts. Provides leadership in cost avoidance through superior negotiation skills.Assesses risks and market conditions within the supply chain to avoid negative impact and mitigate issues.
