Job Overview:Reporting to the Executive Chef, this person will support day-to-day operations in the Kitchen by washing and properly storing all cooking utensils, china equipment, flatware, and glassware as well as maintaining, cleaning, and organizing all areas in the Kitchen.Specific duties would include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist kitchen operating by cleaning food preparation and production areas, operating dish machine, keeping dish room clean and organized, maintaining adequate levels of clean tableware and kitchenware.
  • Opens and/or closes stewarding areas.
  • Washes all dishware in dishwashing machine or by hand according to the highest sanitation standards.
  • Maintains inventories using FIFO practices.
  • Maintain the highest food quality for value by serving efficiently, professionally and courteously with minimal wastage and spoilage.
Job Qualifications:
  • Related post-secondary education and/or skills and experience
  • Experience in a private club environment is an asset
  • Awareness of health and safety
  • Ability to speak English
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with team members
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Pleasant personality appropriate for a hospitality environment
