Job Description

Apply your analytical and customer service skills with the Ministry of Transportation, Driver Improvement Office to improve how driver records are stored and administered.What can I expect to do in this roleIn this role you will:

  • ensure integrity of Ontario Driver records is maintained
  • administer various licensing programs through analysis of complex legal, court, inter-ministerial and police documents
  • apply changes to license qualifications in accordance with federal and provincial legislation and established ministry policies and procedures
How do I qualifyCommunication and Customer Service Skills:
  • You have demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to respond to inquiries, prepare correspondence and statistical reports
  • You have experience in customer service to respond to phone inquiries
Analytical and Organizational Skills:
  • You have demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills to identify and resolve complex problems with large volumes of documents, records and driver related matters, identify issues and trends and make recommendations
  • You have demonstrated organizational skills to prioritize and schedule workload
Other Essential Skills:
  • You have the ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies and procedures (e.g. Freedom of Information Privacy and Protection Act, Highway Traffic Act, Criminal Code of Canada, Provincial Offences Act, driver and vehicle licensing policies and procedures).
  • You have experience in word processing, spreadsheet, database and software
