Job Description

Ecommerce Associate – Job DescriptionPosition overviewThe Ecommerce Associate is a key contributor to Metal Supermarkets ecommerce performance. To be successful, you will need to be customer service oriented, a stickler for detail, natural problem-solver, a strong communicator and highly motivated.The Ecommerce Associate will provide ongoing support and customer service to customers and store locations to assist in processing orders, resolving disputes and expediting shipments to online customers.Major responsibilities

  • Track and measure results to increase ecommerce performance
  • Liaise with stores across Canada and the United States for order fulfillment and updates.
  • Assist in delivering an exceptional online customer experience which includes:
  • Customer support emails and online live chat
  • Coordination and timely processing of online returns
  • Investigate possible delays in shipments, open investigations and follow-up with store locations
  • Work with stores to update system and communicate order status
  • Identify strategies to improve user experience, acquire new online customers and grow revenue
  • Research product specifications and work with internal teams
  • Assist in ensuring accurate information on all items on the site, including descriptions, shipping restrictions, pricing and any enhanced product content
  • Assists in website user testing and IT enhancements
  • Evaluate and execute special projects as assigned
  • Appropriately prioritize workload to ensure the expeditious posting of new products
Skills and qualifications
  • 3+ years’ experience in a directly related ecommerce role
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure completely accurate information for hundreds of products
  • Analytical, with strong experience using numbers to deliver insights and action using Excel, Google Analytics and other tools
  • Clear understanding of current and emerging ecommerce best practices
  • Proficient communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel or similar
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills and be able to multi-task
  • Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail & timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to work independently and within a team environment
