About SPATULASPATULA is a chef-to-customer frozen meals marketplace that is reinventing frozen food in Canada. We do this by delivering gourmet, flash frozen meals, crafted by award-winning local chefs. Meals will be delivered right to our customer’s door, and can be heated up in minutes in a pan with the stir of a spatula. We want to give our customers the benefit of extreme convenience without sacrificing on taste. We have a proven and experienced co-founding team who has held leadership roles at food-tech, food service, and CPG companies across Canada. Our culinary team has won competitions such as Chopped Canada and Top Chef Canada, and have cooked at restaurants such as Noma, Alinea, and Momofuku.SPATULA recently became a venture-backed company, and we’re ready to grow our team. We have a deep passion for creating great products, cooking amazing food, and having a ton of fun while doing it.About the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for an eCommerce & CRM Manager at Spatula Foods. This role will report to the Head of Marketing and be responsible for the strategy, development, implementation, and monitoring/reporting of our eCommerce/CRM platforms. We are looking for someone to join us to build SPATULA from the ground up, a team player with an owners’ mindset, who will roll up their sleeves and help with any task, no matter how big or small.What You’ll DoEnd-to-end ownership of all eCommerce and CRM duties, from strategy, to development, to deployment.eCommerce:

  • Responsible for developing, managing, and delivering KPIs across eCommerce (ex: revenue, site traffic, conversion, repeat, AOV, etc)
  • Develop and implement eCommerce strategy to improve website performance.
  • Strategically plan and execute marketing activities with defined key priorities.
  • Develop content, promotions and communications to drive consumer traffic with a specific focus on driving acquisition, retention, and growth of revenue.
  • Manage all online activity in relation to traffic, acquisition, sales, conversion, a/b testing, and reporting.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of the content update process for eCommerce - building pages for new products, adding and updating descriptions, pricing, and promotions.
  • Manage promotions and regularly update content based on the approved marketing calendar.
  • Create, update, and maintain an ongoing marketing calendar of promotions.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports that summarize sales and marketing reporting analysis.
  • Understand and update with the market to discover new trends and technologies to improve website performance.
  • Manage initiatives to improve SEO to drive traffic to the site.
  • Collect and interpret online analytics to be used in creating a better user experience.
  • Ability to develop, manage and track success and lift of promotions (promo codes) and affiliate/partnership programs (UTM links).
CRM:
  • Responsible for developing, managing, and delivering KPIs across CRM (ex: sign ups, CTR, conversion, open rate, etc)
  • Responsible for strategy and execution of email marketing.
  • Drive strong performance across email campaigns with continued optimizations across the consumer lifecycle.
  • Define KPIs for individual email marketing campaigns and establish monthly goals, generate forecasts, and compile weekly/monthly reporting for all major insights to be shared with key stakeholders.
  • Lead complex targeting and personalization strategies to deliver the right message to the right consumer at the right time to drive retention and acquisition, reduce churn and maintain strong engagement.
  • Understand consumer buying trends and habits.
  • Create, develop, and evolve a value add customer loyalty program/rewards plan.
  • Build cohort analysis to identify key learnings and provide actionable insights.
Who You Are
  • BA degree or post-secondary education in Marketing and/or Communications
  • You have 4+ years of experience in scaling direct-to-consumer business within CPG.
  • You are customer obsessed, you relentlessly think about building the best experience for our customers.
  • You have advanced skills and experience with Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Shopify, Klaviyo.
  • You have experience with Photoshop, InDesign, CSS/HTML, ESP.
  • You have experience with SEO & SEM.
  • You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and high growth culture, and are able to creatively solve problems under ambiguity.
  • You are highly collaborative with a passion for analytics, innovative marketing, and creative excellence.
  • You have excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • You have an ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.

CompensationAs you will be joining an early stage startup, your compensation package will consist of both salary and stock-options. The value of the package will vary based on level of experience and degree of commitment to building the startup with the founding team.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per yearBenefits:
