We are the leader in tech media solutions, delivering the most comprehensive, best performing, and innovative marketing services in our sector.We are looking for an exceptional Editor for the launch of our flagship CIO brand in Canada. A figurehead for CIO, and a community leader for strategic IT and business leaders in Canada.This is a key role for IDG, the public face of the launch of our most important publication in this most exciting and rapidly growing market. Able to travel throughout Canada, the Editor of CIO Canada will be an important figure both within the Canadian business community, and inside IDG.We are looking for an IT and business strategy expert with impeccable communication skills. If you are curious, innovative and driven by success we want to hear from you.Qualified candidates in any remote Canadian location, in addition to Toronto, will also be considered for this role.Responsibilities:The goal of this role is to increase the profile of CIO Canada. You will build a vibrant community of excellent, strategic CIOs, using our platform to promote them and their work to audiences in Canada and beyond.Each day you will focus on meeting with CIOs. Building relationships and writing and recording profile interviews, telling their stories and helping them build their careers.Your will give the CIO brand credibility and visibility by being in market, and by knowing CIOs and the challenges they face. You will support our sales teams in their work with customers, providing strategic insights into the Canadian market and the CIOs working within it.Working alongside our in-region editors for CIO, you will be a figurehead who presents and delivers event. A well-respected IT and business strategy expert you will build strong audience and commercial relationships on behalf of the brand.You will lead Editorial strategy for CIO in Canada, but you wont have to create the majority of the content, nor any of the SEO content that exists to drive engagement with CIOs. That will continue to be handled by our global editorial team based in the US, Singapore, India, UK, Australia, and beyond.The editorial content you will produce will form the local content that makes the Canada edition of CIO locally relevant and you will work closely with our Online Editors on this. You will be able to lean on our Online Editor and in-market sales people and will be surrounded by an experienced worldwide team of editorial, marketing, social media, email newsletter and SEO experts for help with reaching the Canadian CIO audience.Some of the main KPIs include:
