  • Knowledge of Railway electrification systems and a working knowledge of the other systems.
  • Knowledge of traction propulsion equipment and characteristics, vehicle performance calculations.
  • Basic knowledge of Zero Emission Vehicles like Battery Electric Buses and their charging infrastructure would be an asset.
  • Obtain information on equipment from suppliers. Select equipment with input from project Engineer.
  • Review of shop drawings, under supervision of more Senior designer or Engineer.
  • Answer simple questions from Contractor during construction.
  • Attend site meetings during construction, along with a more senior staff member.
  • Co-ordinate field review for small or repetitive projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Must be currently registered as an EIT.
  • Ability to communicate clearly by telephone and in writing.
  • G class driver’s license in good standing.
