Job Description

Are you a highly skilled and organized professional with outstanding political acuity and expertise in building stakeholder relationships Are you adept at coordinating information flow and utilizing your innovative problem-solving skills to facilitate issues and communication management within an executive office setting If so, then this opportunity with the Primary Health Care Branch, to provide financial, administrative, and executive support to the Director and branch managers may be the position for you.NOTE:

  • The position may be located at any of the locations listed in this job ad. The work location will be determined based on the location of the successful candidate.

  • manage the flow of information and documents in the office of the Director
  • coordinate responses and actions required on behalf of the Director through ongoing liaison with senior managers and staff
  • coordinate meetings and conferences, and manage the Directors calendar of appointments
  • coordinate and/or prepare briefings, correspondence, Cabinet submissions, and project reports
  • manage the issues management and resolution tracking system
How do I qualifyAdministrative Knowledge and SkillsYou have:
  • demonstrated experience in providing senior level executive support and services
  • the ability to acquire knowledge of strategic and operational planning, resource allocation and program development processes and practices
  • demonstrated experience in managing budgets, forecasting and monthly reporting, and in reviewing, monitoring and tracking of expenditures
  • demonstrated skills in effective issues resolution and in providing strategic advice, expertise and interpretation of policies to senior executives
  • the ability to interpret human resources policies/guidelines and legislation such as the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
Communication and Interpersonal SkillsYou demonstrate:
  • interpersonal and oral communication skills to maintain effective relationships at various levels
  • written communication skills to develop reports, submissions and plans
Planning and Organizational Skills
  • you have planning and organizational skills to coordinate and prioritize work to meet deadlines
Computer Skills
  • you have proficiency in the use of standard desktop computer tools, applications and software, including database systems and the Internet
