Job Description

The Commoner team is growing! Located in Dundas West/Roncesvalles AreaIf you are passionate about the restaurant industry, personable, creative and bring a team focused attitude, then we invite you to apply.We are currently hiring for our 96 seat full service restaurant - The Commoner Roncy. A fast paced environment open 7 days a week, with brunch service on weekends as well.We are a growing company offering upward mobility for individuals passionate about a career in hospitality, with currently 3 restaurant locations under our umbrella.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Motivate and mentor the kitchen staff to uphold and exceed the highest standards of communication, quality, consistency, and execution of tasks
  • Contribute to the planning of daily, monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for both labour and food costs
  • Accountable for meeting or exceeding food cost, labor cost, and other operating expenses
  • Support and build a team with daily tasks to ensure readiness for service
  • In the performance of all duties assigned, work independently with minimal or no supervision while exercising broad discretion and professional judgment
OUR REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years experience in service and hospitality management positions
  • Maintain proper food saftey certifications
  • Ability to be a leader with a desire to educate and empower team members, creating accountability standards
  • Strong attention to operational and administrative detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Charismatic team player with enthusiastic outlook and creative mind
  • Able to work long hours standing
