We have a pressing need for a flexible and determined Financial Analyst for this entry-level role in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will provide daily support to the accounting and finance departments as well as perform routine assignments and solve routine/standard problems with limited discretion. Key responsibilities - Participate in the arrangement of monthly financial reporting and other business data - Construct clever alternatives and suggestions to reduce costs and nurture financial performance of a company - Manage several aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis) - Tend to monitoring and maintaining internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements - Inspect final results at the corporate and division levels - Solidify and inspect budgets and income statement forecasts - Sometimes disclose elaborate financial subjects to non-financial staff members in special projects - Capable of assisting internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits - Partake in annual budgeting process - Be a factor in ensuring adequate controls and procedures - Explore and query an immense amounts of data - Less than one year of experience is acceptable - Solid computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems - Can work independently with minimal supervision - Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role) - BA/BS degree in finance or a related field - Identify Risks experience preferred - Assess Risk experience desired - Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills - High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills Robert Half is the world #39;s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
