Here, you can help shape the future of insurance, win as a team, and grow with us.About the roleWe’re looking for a Financial Operation Technician to join our growing team!What You’ll Be DoingAs a Financial Operations Technician you will be reporting directly to the Manager, Financial Operations. Are you an experienced professional who operates with a high level of initiative, accuracy with attention to detail seeking new opportunitiesWe are looking for a team player who will play a vital role in supporting our growth. If you are ready to join a dynamic team, this could be a great role for you to consider!Key Responsibilities

  • Perform, via Cash Management Module (Oracle), the daily bank clearing reconciliation process.
  • Provide accurate and timely completion of daily bank exceptions, with management of timely investigations of unreconciled transactions.
  • Act as a point of contact and subject matter expert for cash management projects (Bank and Merchant Services) and system support; liaise between end-users, IT, internal and external business partners.
  • Perform monthly review of bank charges. Prepare quarterly analysis of charges and volumes
  • Assist in bank web portal user administration.
  • Support documentation co-ordination including, bank account opening/closing, banking resolutions, signing authorities as required. Ensuring that documentation is kept up to date and organized by means of quarterly reviews.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Skills
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study
  • Solid understanding of accounting business processes (cash management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations). Prior Banking experience an asset.
  • Familiar with ERP systems and working experience with Oracle.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrate and display integrity and discretion based on the information sensitivity, working environment.
  • Exhibits strong accountability to duties and responsibilities required of job.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Customer focus – External and Internal.
  • Self-starter, with the ability to prioritize workflow and operate independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of flexibility and creativity required; adapting to a constantly changing environment and developing financial procedures and processes to meet such changes.
