Leading with an eye of excellence and ensuring the food & beverage experience is exceptional while operations are functioning in the most optimal manner possible. Creating a hands-on inclusive leadership team, one that is people focused, producing industry leading product distinction while driving sound margins. This position requires a people-first leader ensuring an empathetic and inclusive working environment for the entire F&B department.Primary Role and Responsibilities:

  • Expand team and guest fulfillment while growing hotel profitability by leading with a hands-on approach ensuring the entire Food & Beverage experience is incomparable, while functioning in the most efficient approach possible.
  • Manage Inventory for all Food & Beverage operations ensuring operating budgets are achieved
  • Confirm menus are industry leading - seasonal, creative, profitable, and well received by guests
  • Completing manager on Duty tasks for the entire property when required.
  • Improve and maintain guest service-related internal administration systems to further benefit the department.
  • Act as a FOH service leading with a hands-on approach and demonstrating exceptional guest service standards. always Supporting the FOH team members on the floor when on duty.
  • Maintain healthy relationships with all vendors and partners.
Specific Duties:
  • Oversee FOH team during daily operations of all Food and Beverage areas, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction while creating and optimizing weekly FOH schedules. Managing daily labor, ensuring all budgets achieved.
  • Evaluate leader performance, give clear direction, and provide support
  • Train, lead and maintain guest service standards as agreed upon by the Senior Food and Beverage Manager and/or General Manager.
  • Innovate, create, and encourage team member ideology and participation to improve guest and operational distinction.
  • Maintain daily cash balance of F&B Petty Cash, floats, and Drop Safe.
  • Oversee cleaning schedules and checklists within the department.
  • Inventory management, costing, ordering and weekly inventory counts.
  • Implement and continuously conduct staff training to improve service levels within the department.
  • Communicate and work with all departments to ensure that every guest always receives excellent service.
  • Review guest feedback platforms and provide appropriate feedback and suggestions to Staff and management
  • Help manage reservations for all F&B outlets.
  • Ensure timely service and pick up for empty bottles and waste bins.
  • Act as a leader at all times and promote a safe, and inclusive working environment.
  • Any other tasks as directed by the General Manager or Director of Operations
Qualifications and Characteristics of an ideal candidate:
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar leadership role.
  • Ability to communicate with team members, co-workers, management, and guests in a clear, professional, and courteous manner which fosters a positive and enthusiastic environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and complete work assignments.
  • Strong leadership skills including ability to problem solve, motivate staff, and always exude excellent guest service practice.
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast paced environment and handle stress effectively.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Strong competency in Microsoft office, POS systems and timekeeping.
  • Strong beverage background, with knowledge of cocktail theory, wine, and spirits.
  • Knowledge of classic service styles and Event/Banquet service essential.
  • Knowledge of costing, pricing, and menu construction; as well as awareness of current industry trends.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
