You have high-performance standards and you have at least a couple of years of experience in a very busy environment.Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 3 shifts a week. Two to three years of experience is required.Compensation: $15/per hour + TipsFunction:Provides each customer with Imago products and services in a manner that satisfies their individual requirements. Work is performed according to Imago standards and procedures but there is latitude for and an expectation of initiative and independent judgment. While servers are typically responsible for a designated service station, successful performance often requires cooperation with other servers, bartenders, and production staff.Key Tasks: Greets customers courteously and professionally identifies their needs and assists them with product selection. Explains any available specials, promotional offers, or events in progress. Records all orders in the appropriate system. Prepares and delivers designated products such as baskets of bread, water, and coffee. Assists in the preparation or assembly of other products according to operating practice and delivers them. Identifies the timing requirements for each customer and coordinates the production and delivery of items with production staff to ensure that the meal proceeds at the appropriate pace. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all menu and beverage items. Makes a particular effort to have a detailed knowledge of the daily or weekly specials or special promotional items. Manages customer concerns or complaints courteously and professionally within the limits of his/her authority. If the matter cannot be effectively resolved, refer it to a manager for assistance. Serves alcoholic beverages to customers in accordance with established standards and regulations. Takes appropriate steps when it appears that a customer has reached his or her capacity. Receives and processes cash, cheques, and credit cards according to established procedures. Reports for duty dressed and groomed according to Imago standards and maintains that appearance for the duration of the shift. Ensures that the service station is clean and presentable at all times. Contributes to a safe work environment by complying with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Imago-specific safety regulations, reporting unsafe acts/conditions, injury or illness immediately, and bringing health and safety issues to the attention of the health and safety committee. Adheres to duties of workers outlined in Section 28 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. As required, performs the following tasks: greet customers at the door and seat them; set tables, bus tables; take out, put away or lock up patio furniture and equipment; arrange, or assist in arranging promotional displays, buffets, etc.; create and hang decorations, water plants, etc.; assist with the training and orientation of new employees.Education Required:The job requires knowledge equivalent to graduation from high school.Experience Required:The job requires two years of experience in the hospitality industry either in a hotel or in pubs or restaurants of a comparable style and quality.Visit our website: www.dukepubs.ca/careersWe strive to ensure that our workforce reflects the diversity of the environment in which we operate.
