Job Description

Position OverviewAs an installer/service tech, you are Trimen’s front line ambassador to our customers and the public in general. In this role, you will need to be prepared for any service call or installation as required by Trimen and our customers. You must be prepared to execute and finalize projects according to strict deadlines. You will oversee quality control throughout the installation lifecycle and communicate effectively back to the installation manager. As part of your planning and preparedness, you will ensure you have the proper tools and supplies and they are in working condition. Must be flexible and willing to travel within Canada.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend service calls and Installation from beginning to end.
  • Be available to attend calls as needed by our customers and dispatch coordinators. (D/N/WE)
  • Be aware of project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project requirements to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaise with customers, maintain proper work logs and records of parts used.
  • Assist in estimating the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Determine and assess the need for additional parts, time or labour assistance.
  • Follow project expectations set by our Service Coordinators, Project Managers, team members and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Adhere to service dispatch schedules and project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Adhere to success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 2-5 years direct work experience in food service equipment maintenance and or project installations, including all aspects of custom fabricated stainless steel components and buyout equipment (ie: Hobart, Vulcan, TRUE, Garland, Pitco etc)
  • TIG welding experience an asset/required, Polishing experience an asset
  • HVAC experience an asset
  • Strong time management skills
  • Technically competent with various tools and materials.
  • Own hand tools
  • Capable of lifting/moving more than 50-90lbs
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities and remain flexible during times of change
  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Customer service skills are your greatest asset.
  • Must exhibit a professional communication mentality with a focus on developing strong relationships with both internal and external customers
