They have an impressive showroom at their headquarters just north of Toronto and in the west end of Vaughan where the Furniture Showroom Sales Associate will be based.We are looking for a savvy Furniture Showroom Sales Associate to consult on and sell residential furniture to furniture retailers, Interior Designers and Interior Decorators who visit our client’s furniture showroom.RESPONSIBILITIES:The scope of the Furniture Showroom Sales Associate is to greet, consult to and sell visitors who visit the showroom, and to provide sales support activities in the showroom so as to optimize and maximize sales.Guide potential clients through the different sections of the show room. Assist buyers in the purchase of large quantities of custom design furniture ranging from contemporary to traditional styles, domestic and imported lines and designer collections.Collaborate with the visiting interior designers to develop effective and logical approach to accommodate clients design dilemmas and architectural challenges; advise them on styles and trends; suggest different options according to space style and use of room.Review wide range of designs, selected best combination of styles, quality, price and on- going availability.Ensure quality customer service by providing product specifications, pricing and samples in a professional manner.REQUIREMENTS:This position is most suitable for someone who can bring energy, enthusiasm and knowledge to the role.Ideally candidates will have several years (5+) of direct selling experience in Residential Furniture or Home Furnishings.Appropriate presentation and personality for such duties, meaning being well groomed and elegant along with great communication and customer service skills.It is also preferable if the Furniture Showroom Sales Associate is au courant with residential furniture fashion trends, colour and fabric.If you are from the Residential Furniture Industry, sales experience from retailers such as Hudsons Bay, Restoration Hardware, Crate & Barrel, West Elm, William-Sonoma, La-Z-Boy, Modern Sense, Martin Daniels Interiors and Ethan Allen are ideal. A background in other residential furniture stores will also be considered.Due to the importance of customer interaction, excellent English language skills are required for this position.Having a vehicle to drive to and from work is the preferable mode of transportation.ADVANTAGES:Join a financially strong and growing company.Work in an elegant and professional environment.Professional selling - sell to retailers, interior designers and decorators; the showroom environment is not open to retail customers unless accompanied by an interior designer or decorator.Full time position; per hour salary commensurate with experience. You are on a good salary base of $27 to $28 per hour - based on experience.Excellent working hours – Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM + Saturday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. If the Furniture Showroom Sales Associate needs one day off during the weekdays, this can be accommodated.
