Job Description

Guidewire DeveloperOn behalf of our client in Toronto, PROCOM is looking for a Guidewire Developer to join their team to help with high visibility software project.Guidewire Developer: Job Details

  • Work with the configuration/functional analyst to designamp; develop solutions
  • Develop custom integration points to connect Guidewire applications with other internal and external systems
  • Design codes, test and debug complex applications and develop their environments
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents
  • Improve upon and ensure the adherence to the established practices, processes, and guidelines
  • Design, develop and unit test configuration solutions
  • Configuring screen layouts, including creation of new screens
  • Writing business rules and other business logic in GOSU
  • Configuring operational parameters such as roles and permissions, user attributes regions, etc
Guidewire Developer: Mandatory Skills
  • 5+ years Claim Centre / Contact Manager experience using Guidewire Studio
  • 5+ years of experience developing n-tier web applications using Java and Java-based application frameworks.
  • Understanding SOA spirit and principles
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
  • Strong knowledge of server-side Java technologies such as JSP, JSF, Servlets, EJB, JDBC, JMS, WebSphere, Tomcat, Docker, Openshift/Kubernetes
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Eclipse, IBM RAD, IBM RTC, Toad
  • Experience with open-source frameworks and tools such as Hibernate, Ivy, Ant, Maven
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment is preferred.
Guidewire Developer: Preferred
  • Microservices is a HUGE asset
  • Insurance
  • Experience with Oracle 11+, PLSQL, and database performance tuning is an asset
