Come join the big Transport family, here in Toronto!We are looking for a Hardware Workbench Technical Specialist to join our local team in Toronto!You will be joining our Engineer Platforms (E2) team, who defines, deploys & maintains the Engineering platforms and associated services for Urban Rail Signalling (URS) business line globally. They provide Hybrid Cloud platforms enabling all engineering activities with capabilities such as specialized system designed workbenches, CICD and large-scale virtualized testing environments.The team of Architects, Service Delivery Managers and DevOps engineers is critical for the efficiency, security, and continual operation of the business. This role will focus around the tooling and practices for our Global Hardware Engineering teamsKey responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will work with the relevant engineering discipline and use their expertise in derived activities
• You will manage the infrastructure and applications on Hardware Workbenches under cloud based solution in AWS
• They will report to the Engineering Environment as well as the Business Line Workbench Architect for engineering

The Hardware Workbench Technical Specialist is responsible for the following:

• Responsible for the infrastructure management of all 3 available Hardware Workbenches

o FPGA, : Siemens, Mentor, QuestaSim, CoreHDL, Sigasio Electronics : Cadence Allegro PCB Designer, Cadence Allegro PCB Layout Designo Mechanical: PTC Creo Design Advanced, Ansys Simulation, PTC PDMLink , Windchill

• Workbench Installation & Update of tools (including COTS)
• Workbench management/administration: User audit; License Management; Export control and SLA
• Performance tuning

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors degree from an IT or Engineering program or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of hosting OS (Linux, Windows)
• Extensive Knowledge of: Windchill products like PTC, PDMLink & Creo including application support, deployment, configuration and administration
• Extensive Knowledge of: Cadence, Siemens/Mentor products including application support, deployment, configuration and administration

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of HW engineering Toolset, Processes and Practices is preferred
• Knowledge for BIM and PTC RRS
• Experience with AWS architecture and administration
• Experience with PLM tools
