Part of the Technicolor Creative Studios network, MPC continues to lead the visual arts industry, building authentic and long-lasting connections with audiences across screens worldwide.Job DescriptionPrimary Responsibilities:Strategy and working standards :

  • Work with Heads of Creative to ensure that departmental working practices are in alignment with MPC Film’s global strategies.
  • Work together with the Head of Creative Operations in each territory and with Department Heads to ensure that MPC Film maintains a consistent workflow, pipeline and toolset that directly correspond to the established working practices across the company.
  • Monitor, measure and report on issues and opportunities within agreed formats and timescales.
  • Ensure that the quality of work remains to the high standards of MPC Film.
  • Ensure that appropriate training is being provided to departments to hit the requirements of our shows.
Show Management :
  • Work with the local Senior Management Team to ensure overall management, delivery, resourcing and budgeting for all productions within your location.
  • Work with the the local Senior Management Team to coordinate projects/work between MPC Film sites.
  • Ensure productions are crewed responsibly to ensure work is not compromised.
  • Manage and develop direct reporting staff
  • Main point of contact for HoDs, CG Supervisors and DFX Supervisors.
  • Directly responsible for HoDs, CG Supervisors and DFX Supervisors.
  • Provide daily support on any issues they or members of their team may be having and to escalate such matters.
  • Ensure each HoD is appropriately informed of upcoming shows and changes to schedules, as well as wider company communications, initiatives and changes.
  • Support HoDs in conveying messages and changes that have a significant impact on the crew, including being visible on the floors on a regular basis.
  • Create unity amongst the HoDs ensuring regular communication with their counter parts in other sites.
  • Identify suitable staff to develop leadership roles within the company and ensure feedback and development plans are carried out.
  • Oversee departmental expenditure within agreed budgets
  • Collaborate with HR to oversee pay review planning and approval for location within budget constraints and company approach.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure promotions are effectively managed and communicated in line with the company approach.
  • Collaborate with Recruitment to ensure crew are hired at the correct pay level.
  • Collaborate with the L&D Academies to ensure business needs are being met.
  • Maintain and further the profile of MPC within the VFX community locally and in the worldwide market
QualificationsTechnical Knowledge/Skills:
  • Varies by discipline
  • 6-7 years of proven leadership and management experience in a leading VFX company or associated industry
