They work closely with the operations management teams to ensure compliance throughout the Back and Front of House departments. This is a key role within the company and is vital to the success of O&B!PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESProvides support to management staff by developing and communicating safety promotion plans, goals, objectives and measurementsFosters strong relationships with operations in order to gain commitment on initiativesDevelops and delivers health and safety learning solutions for management and employees, including instructor-led, e-training and as on-the-job training.Seeks continuous improvement to safety by conducting regular health and food safety inspections and audits at each location, as well as working closely with managers to action safety improvement plans.Assists in ensuring compliance with legislative requirementsMaintain an active role in within the Joint H&S CommitteeAssist HR Department with Talent Management, Health & Safety, Benefits, Recruitment and Training & Development initiatives, as appropriateAdditional duties and responsibilities, as requiredQualificationsFood industry background requiredDemonstrated strong independent judgmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage a large and variable work load, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned workAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and ability to prioritize work based on business needsPost-secondary diploma/degree in Human Resources Management and/ or Health & Safety, an assetCertified Food Handler Certificate, 1st Aid/CPR Certificate, WHMIS Training certificate, an assetAdditional Information** We thank all applicants for their interest in Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants; however, only suitable candidates will be contacted to continue the application process. **No calls from recruiters please!
