We take great pride in contributing to the communities where we live with an ever-constant eye to the global investment markets.HR Manager, People ExperienceReporting to the Director, Advisory & Support, the Manager, People Experience will be responsible for leading the development and execution of initiatives focused on all aspects of the people experience throughout the Employee Life Cycle.Accountabilities:Overall accountability for developing the strategy and building thoughtful experiences, customer centric and end-to-end processes connected to the Employee Life Cycle, inclusive of onboarding, career transitions and life events with a goal of delivering an enhanced experience.Develop, establish and drive forward initiatives to improve the employee and key stakeholder journey throughout the employee life cyclePartner closely and in collaboration with members of the PEX and COE teams to ensure thorough and fulsome recommendations, inclusive of input from key contributors and stakeholdersUnderstand the connectivity, interdependencies and complexities of processes to develop practical, impactful and effective recommendations and solutionsUnderstand the business and the key drivers of impact, prioritizing initiatives aligned to HR strategic prioritiesLeverage customer feedback and data points to explore opportunities to enhance existing practices and processes, conduct gap analysis and put forward recommendations to support an impactful employee experienceDevelop a communication strategy to effectively roll out initiatives and liaise with various HR colleagues as requiredMonitor the implementation of initiative/programManage, lead and proactively seek opportunities to improve and streamline processesLead, coach and develop direct reportsSkills & Experience:7+years in people and employee experience related fieldsCompleted post-secondary education, preferably in HR or Business Administration, completion of HR designation strongly recommendedStrong relationship management, effective listening, communication skills and interpersonal skills across all levels with commitment to providing exceptional customer serviceStrong judgment and problem-solving skills, while mitigating risk to the organizationInitiative to propose new ideas, iterate on execution and report on progressStrong attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple initiatives and deadlines while meeting service level agreementsAdaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset and ability to work in a new and changing environment and learn quicklyAbility to analyze data, surface gaps and propose improvementsAbility to work with confidential and sensitive material; able to work with a high degree of accuracy, often in time-sensitive situationsProven ability to interface with internal and external partiesOur story:Founded in 1962, OMERS is one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans, with $105 billion in net assets as at December 31, 2020.
