If you like the sound of us so far, keep reading to see if you have the experience and skills needed for this rewarding role!About the Role:The HR Coordinator must have a passion and drive for keeping things organized and supporting team members! But most importantly, RFRK’s HR Coordinator will have a great sense of humour and the ability to interact professionally at all times with all employees.Some of the things you’ll get paid to do:Recruitment & Selection

  • Screen and evaluate candidate profiles (cover letters, resumes) and extended next step invitations to qualified candidates
  • Schedule and participate in candidate interviews along with a hiring manager
  • Track posting of current job openings and research new job boards and places to post
  • Maintain connections with community organizations and employment agencies that could be talent sources
  • Draft and extend employment offers to successful candidates
  • Facilitate the employee onboarding process (prepare onboarding packages, coordinate the collection of onboarding materials, conduct onboarding sessions and welcome tours)
HR Administration
  • Ensure employee records, databases, files, and confidential documents are kept up-to-date
  • Providing support for the creation of employment letters and other employment-related correspondence.
  • Practice discretion and confidentiality of employee information according to privacy and employment legislation
  • Communicating and enforcing company policies listed in the Employee Handbook
  • Responding to employee inquires and record requests promptly
  • Cultivate positive employee relations through support and responses to HR inquiries
  • Track employee accidents & incidents and ensure safety action items are completed
  • Assist in the disability management process
  • HR special projects
Company Culture & Other Responsibilities
  • Assist in coordinating company-wide internal and external events (employee recognition programs, team building events, monthly lunch and learns)
  • Assist in the coordination of HR related company-wide communications
  • Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements as outlined in OHSA, ESA, WSIA, OHRC, AODA, OFC and any other relevant legislation
About You
  • College diploma/certification or University degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Minimum 1+ year of work experience
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Apps
  • Natural alignment with RFRK Food values and mission
  • CHRP is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Structured and self-directed approach to project work
