You will support the execution of our teams mandate by effectively process privileged access requests. A key activity is to process requests as per the Life cycle Management of Privileged IDs. Your efforts will help us ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. You will identify needs and contribute to governance initiatives by bringing expertise gained in the field around practical security governance, in the development of CIBC policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines; develop guidelines for the usage, control, maintenance and compliance of information and computer resources. You will provide technical expertise in development and support of all activities, processes, procedures and tools used for validating and insuring the integrity of information security. This can include analysis of existing process/procedures, development/maintenance of clear training/work level instruction documentation, review and update of controls and supporting documentation, coordinate and maintain currency of all knowledge related to the Life cycle Management of Privileged IDs.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role you’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.How You’ll Succeed

  • Identity Administration – You will drive the Identity Management and process effectiveness in security processes. You know the right tools to be able to remediate non compliance. You understand and follow Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes. In this role, you will supervise and implement Identity Administration initiative and projects to increase security of our processes.
  • Assessment & Evaluation - You will be responsible for examining and interpreting documentation, architecture diagrams, and verbal information to assess risks related to privileged access management. As a SME, you will assess and correct privileged access management requests, ensure the appropriate controls are followed and enforced during provisioning and de-provisioning activities, and provision IDs correctly while minimizing impact and risk exposure to the business
  • Consulting - You will be responsible for collaborating with projects and other technology or business partners to create and execute privileged access management for new/existing infrastructure, aligning with Identity & Access Management (IAM) initiatives and related policies, standards, and procedures to help enhance our information security posture. Assist other teams in investigation of potential security incidents and provide recommendations to remediate.
  • Process Orientation and Continuous Improvement - You will be well-versed with key information security processes and policies, as well as related operational enterprise processes and policies leveraged across technology. You will recommend solutions to enhance processes, eliminate risks, and improve the speed and quality of key services to our partners. Apply appropriate tools to perform problem determination and root cause analysis; identify bottlenecks, redundancies and vulnerabilities of existing processes as they relate to identity and access management. Conduct gap analysis of existing process/procedures, development/maintenance of clear training/work level instruction documentation, review and update of controls and supporting documentation, coordinate and maintain currency of all knowledge related to the Lifecycle Management of Privileged IDs.

  • This role may require to be on-call and may be required to be accessible 24/7
