Job Description

Location: RemotePosition details: Part or Full Time, 4 month contractTaking care of our environment has never been more important than it is today. With a national office in Toronto and seven regional offices across the country, NCC delivers results you can walk on.Position SummaryNCC is looking for a tech savvy student or recent graduate to help roll out Windows 10 via Autopilot to our 400 workstations. You will work from home and provide service to our end users via Phone, MS Teams etc.

  • Work with user to make sure any local data and preferences are stored on the cloud
  • Reset their machine
  • Work with user to confirm access to NCC systems
  • Escalate problems to the Help Desk team
Position Requirements
  • Enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a computer technician course or related program.
  • Good Communication Skills: Both written and verbal.
  • People Skills: Being able to quickly deal with people from all walks of life, often under stressful conditions, is an essential trait for those who work as help desk technicians.
  • Attention to Detail: This can be required when working on software or hardware issues where the smallest details matter greatly in terms of how something works/or does not work.
  • Being Willing to Learn New Things: Technology advances at such a rapid pace that your average technician will need to constantly update their knowledge base just to keep up with changes within their organization and industry.
  • Thinking Analytically: It is important to be able to critically analyze the situation from every angle. The user may only be able to communicate the symptom of the problem they are experiencing, nor be able to understand what the cause could be. It is the help desk technicians responsibility to figure out the problem from every angle, while walking the user through the steps.
