Job DescriptionCompliance Officer with knowledge and regulatory experience relating to domestic and authorized foreign payments and commercial bank activities in Canada. Demonstrates general regulatory compliance knowledge related to Canadian payments and commercial bank laws and regulatory requirements. The position requires superior organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and the ability to manage competing priorities in a timely manner.Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for providing day-to-day compliance support for the business activities of JPMorgan entities operating in or into Canada including the Payments (treasury, merchant services and commercial card) and Commercial Banking lines of business, and ensuring that the firm and its affiliates, on both a domestic and cross-border basis, comply with all applicable rules and regulations, as well as statutory and internal requirements.Specific responsibilities include:Assist and support the Canadian governance and compliance program, specifically in the areas of the Canadian payments business (treasury services, merchant services, commercial card), including risk assessments development and implementation, enhancements of the regulatory control environment (including the cross-border framework), and Senior Management reporting and escalationAssist in administering the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) annual assessmentLiaise with Core Compliance Monitoring, Training, Testing and Conduct teams across multiple lines of business operating in CanadaParticipate in various internal compliance, governance and control forums and committeesAdvise on regulatory compliance matters for new regulations, organizational developments, products and servicesAdminister the implementation of Canadian compliance policies, ensuring consistency across LOBs and contributing to regional and global policies requiring Canadian contentAssist in management of regulatory requests, audits, surveys, inquiries and reviewsParticipate in industry working groups and forumsLiaise with regulators as required and during regulatory examinationsExperience and CompetenciesHighly motivated, independent, and experienced professional with solid regulatory compliance background and technical knowledge of applicable payments and cross-border laws and regulationsProject management skills and experienceFamiliarity with Legislative/Regulatory Compliance Management requirements and processBachelors degree, legal qualifications or comparable work experience requiredA minimum of 5 or more years of relevant industry compliance or legal experienceMust demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, resource management, organizational and decision-making skillsBased in Toronto, CanadaJPMorgan Chase is committed to employment equity and encourages applications from women, aboriginal peoples, persons with disabilities and members of visible minorities.Quick Apply
