Come be a part of the team.Job DescriptionThe Interactive Team is the professional hype group that can be seen in the arena at Toronto Maple Leafs and Marlies home games. As a valuable member of our team, you will bring excitement and enthusiasm to the stands; from t-shirt tosses to starting chants, you’ll provide an energetic and exciting game night experience at Scotiabank Arena and Coca-Cola Coliseum.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take lead in rallying and engaging Toronto Maple Leafs/Marlies fans at home games and special events throughout the season
  • Be energetic and exciting entertainers with the incredible ability to wow the fans through hype, energetic dance moves, cheering, and skits
  • Lead crowd cheers, distribution of in-game giveaways and other fun interactive games/activities
  • Enthusiastically unite the crowd in the arena demonstrating your outgoing personality
  • Set up, execute and tear down intermission promotions, in-game and event related equipment (signage, props, etc.) as required
  • Professionally represent the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Marlies, and MLSE
  • Work diligently to ensure the safety of self and others always
  • Provide friendly and informed response to any service-related issue/inquiry
  • Communicate positively and professionally with MLSE staff and fans
  • Adhere to all MLSE service standards and policies including working in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
Qualifications
  • Available to work at least 70% of Toronto Maple Leafs/Marlies home games
  • Able to take direction and show initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience performing in front of crowds/audiences is an asset
  • Solid knowledge of the game of hockey and Toronto Maple Leafs/Marlies is an asset
  • Skating ability is an asset
  • Must be flexible to work weekday shifts as early as 5:00 pm, as well as weekends and/or holidays both day and/or evening shifts staying until the end of the games
  • Enthusiastic and professional team player who is comfortable interacting with fans of all ages
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A winning attitude
