Job Description

Hi, I’m Ariana from JENNY BIRD. I’m the Planning Manager and we are looking for an Inventory Manager to join our team. I have been with the company for 3 years. I started as a sales planner solely dedicated to supporting our wholesale business and have transitioned into our planning department as a Planning Manager where I support our growing DTC and B2B Channels. It has been a very exciting time!In this role, you will work closely with myself and our VP of Supply Chain Operations. You will support the team by ensuring inventory levels are optimized across our different warehouses to support all D2C and B2B sales channels. You will monitor inventory levels on a daily basis and action transfers, allocate inventory on-hand and incoming to ensure timely fulfillment of all sales orders. Your input will be crucial to support our increasing sales through all of our sales channels and keeping us on track and organized.   • Work closely with the planning team to ensure day-to-day inventory stock levels are maintained in line with sales forecasts while keeping inventory lean and optimized.
  • Communicate any stock-out to cross-functional teams as needed in assigned platforms.
  • Analyze inventory on hand on a weekly basis across all warehouses to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to support sales
  • Perform intra-warehouse transfers as needed
  • Perform weekly Amazon FBA replenishment
  • Allocate inbound inventory from factory based on current demand and committed units
  • Allocate inventory to wholesale orders
  • Monitor ecommerce pre-orders
  • Ensure product is available for all collection launches. Communicate any anomalies to team well in advance in case any contingency plans are needed.
  • Monitor packaging inventory at warehouse and work closely with planning manager for future demand
  • Manage inventory discrepancies at 3PL and communicate to affected internal teams to action
  • Approval of ad-hoc internal requests for inventory
  • Provide ATS inventory lists to planning and wholesale team for wholesale accounts
  • Monitor aged inventory at 3PL and flag any actions needed
  • Perform Monthly inventory reconciliations and keep track of monthly shrink rate
  • Report monthly stock position
What you bring to the table:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field of study.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory management or related field
  • Experience with ERP and/or inventory management systems
  • Proven ability to multi-task and maintain overall organization.
  • Self-starter who is able to manage and coordinate projects and initiatives from start to finish.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate effectively at all levels throughout the organization.
  • You are a strategic thinker who makes data-informed decisions.
  • You’re a collaborative team player who can brainstorm with others.
  • You’re flexible and can adapt to changing priorities on the go.
  • Previous experience in sales and inventory analysis is desirable, but not required
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a strong business and financial acumen.

Location:
  • We have flexible working arrangements for the team. Currently, our team is working remotely 80% of the time and 1-2 days a week in office (Downtown Toronto).
