The team is looking to hire a Manager of Fund Administration. The Manager of Fund Administration is responsible for the overall oversight of all operational functions within the Department. We will count on you to:
  • Provide processing and support as well as oversight of all high net worth processing requirements, actively monitoring all account activity including, but not limited to, timeliness of transactions, accuracy of reporting, and overall quality of data, including:
  • Open client accounts
  • Provide ongoing client servicing and account maintenance including:
    • Incoming and outgoing asset transfers
    • Client deposits
    • withdrawals - outgoing cheques/EFT to clients
  • Respond to wealth manager initiated contacts regarding client account issues and reporting
  • Assist in carrying out various compliance requirements for the firm
  • With regard to assigned Institutional clients:
    • Maintain client information folders and correspondence, assisting in their servicing and administration
    • Reconcile securities holdings and investment/cash positions between the custodian and the internal portfolio management system daily
  • Prepare monthly client reporting
  • Carry out specific requirements for the production of quarterly client statement reports
  • Develop, document and coordinate the implementation of new procedures / policies / computer enhancements intended to meet new requirements or improve current customer service
  • Support other administrative functions of the Operations Department and other duties as required
What you need to have:
  • University degree in Commerce, Finance or a related discipline or a suitable combination of experience and formal education.
  • 2+ years investment industry experience/knowledge gained at a broker or wealth management firm dealing with institutional and/or high net worth clients in a discretionary management program and/or direct experience in dealing with securities held in custody at an external financial institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a group to accomplish goals and deliver superior results.
  • Highly professional, proactive and self-motivated.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Analytical and able to investigate and solve problems with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and often stressful environment.
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply learning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels within the business.
  • Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to handle pressure situations and strict time constraints, understanding the balance between high quality outputs with the need to meet deadlines.
  • Flexible regarding working hours in order to meet deadlines and service levels, when required

  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course would be an asset.
