Working in IT consulting, you’re not just an individual; you’re part of a collaborative and highly visible team that works together on unique, fast paced projects around the world.IBI Group’s Toronto office is searching for a Tier 1 Support Specialist to join the Intelligent Transportation Systems Advanced Traveller Information System support team. This individual will help provide support for clients providing first level support, monitoring of servers, databases and applications, and working with IT staff to help resolve client issues. Maintenance of servers and network infrastructures are also required. The successful candidate will have a passion for all things technology, an innate curiosity to just figure things out and drive to provide strong customer service.IBI Group offers you a career you can Define…Discover It!Most of the things youll work on:

• Provide first level support for our clients on both Systems and Network related issues.
• Responsible for maintenance, repairs and installations related to Windows, VM environment, and other software related issues.
• Assist clients experiencing operational problems with their systems and provide basic support for our software applications
• Perform upgrades, repairs and preventive maintenance on servers
• Assist in the installations and configuration of our ITS applications
• Verify data integrity of backup and restore systems
• Update knowledge and skills to keep up with rapid advancements in computer technology
• Provide 24*7 first level support for client projects
• Maintain a knowledge base of standard operating procedures
• Maintain project monitoring systems
• Maintain and support internal development systems

QualificationsYoull need to have:

• 2 years of professional IT experience with strong experience in both systems and networking support
• A college diploma or University degree in the field of computer science
• Must Have: Advanced knowledge in server hardware, Windows O/S (Server and Workstation), VM Environments. Experience with Oracle, MS SQL, and MYSQL Databases is an asset.
• Excellent understanding of networking technologies, protocols, and hardware
• Working experience of network concepts, including LAN/WAN infrastructure and TCP/IP routing
• Some experience in Cisco switches and firewalls is an asset
• A+ or Microsoft Certified is an asset
• AWS Certification is an asset
• Knowledge of PRTG Monitoring Systems is an asset.
• Effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization
• Willingness to multi-task and be flexible to take on varied responsibilities
• Able to demonstrate patience, tact, and respect
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Great customer service, detail and follow-up skills required
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
• On-Call shift work required (24*7 when on call)
